Lily has bronze colored skin, dark green hair that looks almost black with slightly lighter green highlights, black eyes. She likes to wear whatever is most likely to help her blend in to her surroundings best. In Tilde, she wears whatever the Tildeons wear, in the woods she wears greens, grays, and browns, in the monastery she wears the white and red that are the traditional monastery colors.
She is quiet and likes to stand back from most large crowd discussions but enjoys banter back and forth in smaller gatherings. She waits for opportunity in both her words and actions. She watches people and listens and speaks when she has something to say. Her words tend to be intuitive, but her approach is generally very subtle. This works itself into her fighting style. She doesn't like the enemy to see her before she sees them. She likes to take in the situation and act in a well placed and decisive manner. She dislikes indecision and trusts her training and discipline to help her move wisely. That being said, she will almost always contemplate a situation for a moment first before doing anything. Other people don't always appreciate the decisions she makes. She likes to explore new areas and places, likes to see what is behind doors and around corners. When asked why she does something its not unusual for her to respond in complete sincerity, “Because I wanted to see what is there.” or “I wanted to see what would happen.” as if that is a perfectly good reason no matter the consequences (as long as they don't endanger the people around her too severely. She believes that everyone ought be on their toes and prepared, if life catches someone by surprise it's there fault for not being ready, she is humble enough to apply this to herself). She likes to watch people and will often do things that make them react just to see what they will do. She also has a fondness for gadgets and is very likely to experiment with switches and levers just “to see what happens” though again she will hold her curiosity in check if she thinks its likely to seriously injure her party, but if it happens to mildly endanger them she is ok with this. Because of her love of gadgetry she understands how most gadgets tend to work, she is also very perceptive when it comes to people, knowing what sort of things are likely to set them on edge and what things are likely to appease them and give them good favor to her.
She doesn't like ceilings that she can't see, she is find in small tight caves and vaulted rooms that are well lit, but a vaulted room that is not well lit or a cave with a ceiling too high to see gives her the creeps and she does not approve of it.
Lily realized she was different from the rest of the gnomes at a very young age. They liked the stories of the wizards and warlocks with their magic spells and spent all their time playing with the smaller elements of magic and dreaming of the day they might go off to learn wizarding or something of the sort. Lily liked the playing tricks with fey magic but found little use in it besides that, she preferred her uncle Aerlan's stories. Her uncle was a elven monk whom no one quite knew (or spoke of) how he was related. His stories were filled with heroes that used strength and dexterity to overpower and outmaneuver the enemy, she found the idea fascinating and spent her time increasing her dexterity and strength while many of her fellow gnomians were learning the finer points of reading and other things that helped with learning to cast spells. She learned how to outmaneuver her friends in their games of hide and sneak using less magic than they would and relying more on her growing quick wit and reflexes, though she was perfectly willing to use some of her smaller fey magic tricks to help with her concealment. Her pursuit of physical strength and dexterity wasn't entirely approved of by the rest of the gnomes but her uncle was very pleased. He started teaching her tricks and basic skills that monks learned in the monasteries. She got better and better with each lesson and Aerlan found great pleasure in watching her figure out the finer points needed for her skills and how to modify the movements as needed so they would still work for someone as small as her. She found dexterity and leverage particularly important as well as strength. After a certain point Aerlan declared he couldn't teach her anything more and that if she wanted to learn more she would have to join a monastery. Despite her enjoyment of learning how to be a monk Lily was hesitant to leave the woods where she had been raised and where they terrain was familiar and comfortable. The monastery Aerlan had been to was in a city and it was the only nearby that his word held enough weight to get her admission. Some complications kept her at home for the next five years or so during which time Aerlan mysteriously disappeared. When everything cleared up Lily decided that she'd had enough of the forest and the life of the gnomes, especially without Aerlan to practice with. So she left for Tilde looking to join the monastery there. When she got to Tilde the city was at first confusing and unnerving for her but she managed to find the monastery where she was received with open arms do to a high recommendation her uncle had left for her some years back. Lily loves the life in the monastery finding it strange but refreshing after living with the gnomes in the forest. She liked the clean walls and austereness of the monks way of living, and she greatly enjoyed the self-discipline that was apart of their daily life, though she never mastered self-discipline to the standard her master would have preferred. The one thing she did not find in the monastery was anyone to share in her enjoyment of seeing why and how things work. Back at home it was taken for granted that everyone was curious as to the workings of things. She made a reputation for herself of being a mischief maker, though she would never think to label herself as such. In her opinion she never rarely played pranks on people, she simply put them in situations or did things to them to see what would happen. At first she really enjoyed the learning curve that was thrown at her, but as her skill increased she began to get bored. She wasn't learning fast enough to keep occupied. The other monks encouraged her to visit the city more, partially to keep her from 'pranking' anyone excessively partially to give her a chance to adapt to city life. She found the city overwhelming at first, then fascinating. There were so many different places to explore and investigate. She spent much time wandering the city finding new places she'd never been before and practicing her skills as a monk and a gnome to get her out of whatever situation she happened to accidentally fall into. She still has a fondness for the forest but after living in the city for 10-12 years she began to get equally comfortable with moving around even in the roughest parts of town without being caught in a situation she couldn't handle.
After a while life became boring again, she knew most of the ends and outs of the city, and she wasn't being able to better her skills as a monk without more combat. So, she decided to start investigating job options. The political unrest of the city is starting to get on her nerves and she wants to either do something about it, or do something somewhere else, she doesn't like sitting and watching things happen without being able to be involved at least a little bit. One day while sitting on a roof top (she likes being up in the air and overlooking people who can't see her) she fell asleep in the sun and awoke to find Sariel's note on the roof next to her. Intrigued as to where the note came from and how it found her she willingly follows it's lead though she is ready to approach the situation in a cautious manner.
Additionally, Lily knows Kriv by sight and somewhat by reputation, as everyone does, but they've never met.
